Matching Technology

Global Barter Group’s matching technology can serve as the matching engine for any barter exchange. Our "Have/Want" paradigm of exchange handles various types of transactions by linking trading parties together – whether they are buying, selling, or trading – into trading circles.

We provide our clients with leading-edge trading functionality, resulting in networked multi-party trading and superior liquidity.

Today, most retail barter exchanges operate using software systems that were developed internally. While these systems are effective for small-scale transaction volume, most of these systems are incapable of scaling with the exchange as it grows beyond a few hundred customer accounts. Other exchanges operate using legacy accounting systems as a substitute for proper transaction management software. In either scenario, these systems are incapable of integrating with one another because the applications were not designed to operate with 3rd party software or to be networked together. Finally, the focus of these systems is to manage transaction information – not improve transaction efficiency through more effective matching of the goods and services the exchange’s customers want for their trade dollars. As a result, barter exchanges have been unable to scale beyond the limitations of their software.

Our matching technology helps you to lower transaction costs by making trading processes more efficient. World-class engineers from organizations including Boeing and Motorola developed our Matching Technology. Over 8,000 developer hours have gone into its design, scalability and performance tuning.
