Steve Goldbloom, Managing Partner
Steve has over 20 years of experience, with 17 years in retail and corporate barter to guide the formation of the company’s key customer relationships. From 1998 through 2000,Steve served as a Senior Vice President at Active International, the industry’s largest corporate trading company. Steve was recruited from Active International to serve as President of MonkeyBin.com , a San Francisco based technology company with patented matching technologies. At MonkeyBin.com , Steve helped to commercialize the company’s patent-pending software for the commercial barter industry. Previously, Steve founded Bay Area Barter Exchange Inc, a retail barter exchange, and Barter Holding Inc., a corporate trading company. After 14 years of successful operations, Bay Area Barter Exchange was merged with American Trade Association in 1997 to create ValueCard LLC, which was acquired by Intagio in 2001, the world’s largest retail barter exchange company. Steve also created one of the industry’s first barter exchange transaction management/CRM technologies, which was installed in over 45 barter exchange operations. Throughout his career, Steve has played an integral part in helping shape the barter industry through his involvement with the International Reciprocal Trade Association (IRTA). Steve served as President of IRTA for four years and continues to serve on its Board of Directors. At the IRTA received the distinguished service award on two occasions. Prior to entering the Barter Industry, Steve individually earned the #1 spot among 300 salespeople worldwide automating restaurants and hotels at RBS Inc. He grew to vice president and general manager at RBS leading the company to the #2 rank among 22 distributors of Remanco systems worldwide. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in Finance and Marketing from Babson College. Steve lives in New York with his wife, Ellen, 5 year old son Sam, and 2 year old daughter, Zoe.

Eric Weiss, Associate-General Counsel
Eric has over 18 years of experience as a senior level business/legal executive including over 7 years as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Active International. While at Active ,Eric was a member of Active’s former executive committee which served as the company’s chief operating officer. During this time he negotiated the company’s ESOP transaction, structured and negotiated the formation of joint ventures, structured and negotiated business transactions, and supervised the formation of Actives foreign subsidiary’s. He led Active International's legal department and provided strategic counsel to the President and CEO Recently, Eric served as COO of iSolve.com, a B2B exchange for salvaged goods. Prior to joining Active International, Eric was an associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and at Davis Polk & Wardwell. Before launching his legal career, he worked as a Certified Public Accountant at Coopers & Lybrand. Eric holds a BS (Magna Cum Laude) from New York University, an MBA from the University of Chicago and a JD from Duke University. Eric lives in New Jersey with his wife Stacy and his twin boys Alex and Ben.
 



Ron Redmond, Associate-Chief Technology Officer
Ron has over 17 year experience in technology . . In addition to his role as Interim CTO for Global Barter Group, Ron is the founder and President of Lead Data Technologies, a respected IT services and Consulting firm. At Lead Data, Ron serves as Senior Network Architect and spearheads client development efforts. Prior to Lead Data, Ron was VP of Information Systems at Active International. At Active he was responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s domestic and international technology and information systems. Ron has also worked in various engineering capacities at Reader’s Digest Association, Consolidated Edison and IBM. Ron holds several certifications in Microsoft, Cisco, and Checkpoint technologies. He earned his M.S. in Software Engineering at Pace University, his B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics at Manhattan College. Ron lives in New York with his wife Stacy and daughter Mary
